The Mechanical Department is dedicated for producing engineers
who can operate in industry at the highest level. The department is concerned with
identifying the underlying principles by which manufacturing environments can become
more productive, reliable And cost effective.
Under
Mechanical Engg. Dept. there are various labs like Heat Power, Thermal Lab,
Fluid Machinery, Design, Metrology & Quality Control etc. providing hands on
experience, especially important in this field, which is provided through our well
equipped laboratories. CADianMech2004C, AutoCAD 2007,SolidWorks & other design
software’s are provided in computer laboratories of the department.
Students
are motivated to undertake industrial projects sponsored by leading companies &
government organizations. Almost all the projects are sponsored by firms like TATA
Motors, Cummins India Ltd., Forbes Marshall, KPCL, SKF Bearing,. D. R. D. O., PMT
Machine tools, etc.
